Netball Jamaica will have a definitive position, hopefully, tomorrow,” Lewis, who is not a member of the committee, told The Gleaner late yesterday.

“They (the committee) will present their report and the board will deliberate and decide the way forward,” Lewis said

Sources close to the matter told The Gleaner that yesterday’s meeting, which was chaired by Jennifer Headlam, head of Netball Jamaica‘s Human Resource Committee, ended without the parties coming to any agreement

It is understood that the meeting, held at an undisclosed location in Kingston, lasted for almost two hours. It was called to discuss the reasons behind Henry‘s sudden resignation

Efforts to contact Netball Jamaica President Dr Paula Daley proved futile as several calls to her mobile phone went unanswered. Calls to Henry‘s mobile phone were also not answered

Lewis told The Gleaner last Friday that Henry‘s midweek resignation had shocked Netball Jamaica as “there are no problems”

However, according to information reaching The Gleaner , Henry was unhappy with her remuneration package

Henry and Marvette Anderson were named co-coaches of the Sunshine Girls last July after the departure of Jermaine Allison-McCracken

The Gleaner understands that Henry had become very frustrated as she felt that she was not being adequately compensated for the work she was doing with the team

The Sunshine Girls collected bronze medals at last month’s Commonwealth Games in Australia after defeating New Zealand 60-55. Henry and Anderson had also guided the Sunshine Girls to the silver medal at the World Fast5 Series in Australia in October last year
